Pre-announcement: Call for Posters Highlights in the Language Sciences Conference

Dear colleagues,
We are pleased to announce that the Language in Interaction Research Consortium will host the Conference “Highlights in the Language Sciences“, at Radboud University, Nijmegen, from July 8th to July 11th 2024.
The conference will celebrate 10 years of the Language in Interaction Consortium and aims to bring together scientists working on different aspects of language comprehension and production across several languages, language modalities and experimental paradigms. It will provide an opportunity to discuss and explore different approaches to the “Big Questions” of the consortium, encompassing the investigation of the mental lexicon by computational modelling, neuroscientific and psycholinguistic theories; the characteristics and consequences of the internal brain organisation for language; the role of communicative settings and shared cognitive spaces in shaping language; variability in language processing and learning; the inferential cognitive geometry of language and action planning.
Confirmed featured speakers include: David Poeppel (NYU, Strungmann Institute, Frankfurt), Ghislaine Dehaene-Lambertz (CNRS Paris), Vera Demberg (Universität des Saarlandes), Uri Hasson (Universiy of Princeton), Barbara Kaup (University Tübingen), Tal Linzen (NYU).
We will also host poster sessions, for which we will soon welcome abstracts. Abstract submissions for poster presentations will open in October 2023 and will close on the 15th of January 2024. Registration and attendance of the conference as well as the poster sessions will be free of charge.
