This conference marked the grand conclusion of the ten-year Gravitation Program, celebrating a decade of groundbreaking research and advancements in the field of language sciences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Over the course of four days, nearly forty distinguished speakers from around the world shared their insights and discoveries, contributing to a rich tapestry of knowledge and innovation. The event also featured over 200 poster presentations, offering attendees a comprehensive overview of the latest research and developments in the language sciences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"586\" height=\"272\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dcc.ru.nl\/languageininteraction\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/image.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4555\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.dcc.ru.nl\/languageininteraction\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/image.png 586w, https:\/\/www.dcc.ru.nl\/languageininteraction\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/image-300x139.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 586px) 100vw, 586px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the speakers for their dedication and for delivering such engaging and insightful presentations. Attendees were treated to a delightful BBQ, fostering a sense of community and collaboration among researchers and scholars. On Wednesday afternoon, participants had the opportunity to explore the charming city of Nijmegen through a city walk and a visit to the Bastei Museum. This cultural excursion concluded at De Kaaij, where everyone savored delicious paella under the sunny skies, accompanied by refreshing drinks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thursday afternoon was a special segment dedicated to honoring Peter Hagoort\u2019s significant contributions to the field and his impact on the academic community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Highlights in the Language Sciences Conference 2024 was a resounding success, blending rigorous academic discourse with enjoyable social activities.
