Peter Hagoort<\/strong><br>Programme director<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"200\" height=\"200\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dcc.ru.nl\/languageininteraction\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/Peter-van-Hagoort.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-815\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.dcc.ru.nl\/languageininteraction\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/Peter-van-Hagoort.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.dcc.ru.nl\/languageininteraction\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/Peter-van-Hagoort-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:5%\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:70%\">\n<p>Peter Hagoort is director of the Language in Interaction consortium and coordinator of Big Question 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He is a professor of Cognitive Neuroscience at Radboud University Nijmegen, director of the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics and director of the Centre for Cognitive Neuroimaging of the Donders Institute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His research focuses on the neurobiological foundations of the human language faculty. He investigates how the brain regulates language production and language comprehension. As one of the first Hagoort combined psychological theory with neuroscientific models. He also pioneered research on the interaction between speech and gestures and the role of attention in information structure aspects of language. His ideas have influenced the field substantially.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Peter Hagoort places much emphasis on the communication of research to a wider audience, He is involved in the public debate &nbsp;on the functioning of the brain and has set up several websites on the topic of language. There she graduated from the Kuban State University, department of Modern Greek and English languages.
